2 postcards of Mariampol (now Marijampolė, Lithuania) sent in 1915 from the feldpost station of the 20th Reserve Corps, both to Berlin.

Žeimelis 1939

A registered letter sent in 1939 from Žeimelis to the district court in Joniškis. Žeimelis is a small town in Šiauliai county, not far from the Latvian border, with a population of approximately 1200. There is also a nice arrival cancellation of Joniškis on the back!

Vilnius 1939

I have previously posted the commemorative cancellation of 2nd Zułów-Wilno March ski competition held in 1937. This is the 4th held in 1939. Surprisingly those cancellations are pretty hard to find.

A propaganda maximum card cancelled in Vilnius in 1961. "Šlovė Didžiajam Spaliui" on the card means: Glory of the great october.

Klaipėda 1939

A propaganda value imprinted postcard with a previously posted commemorative cancellation of the 50th birthday of A.Hitler in 1939, cancelled in Memel, today's Klaipėda, Lithuania.

This is telegraph service receipt issued in 1907 by the post office in Оникшты / Onikshty (now Anykščiai, Lithuania), Ковенск. г./Kovenskaya Guberniya (Kovna/Kaunas Gubernia).

Vilnius 1915

A propaganda postcard posted in 1915 from an unknown feldpost station. The card shows the capitulation of Wilna (now Vilnius, Lithuania) by the germans in september 1915 but the date states as august 1915 unlike the actual fact.

Antalieptė 1930

A cover sent in 1930 from Antalieptė (called Antolepty in polish), a village with a population little over 300 in Zarasai district. There is a private propaganda stamp "Vaduokime Pavergta VILNIU", meaning: Let's liberate occupied Vilnius.
